You Were Reconciled—Returned to Favor

DEVOTIONAL

When Adam sinned, humanity fell from grace and lost relationship with God. We were cut off from His presence and blessing, destined to live a hard life under a curse. Even wealth and comfort couldn’t insulate us from the struggle of life without God.

But when you accepted Christ, everything changed.

2 Corinthians 5:18 says, “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ…” The Greek word for “reconcile” means to receive one into favor. That’s what happened—you were received back into favor with God.

You can now come before God, speak, and be heard, pray and be answered, you have been returned to favor, God doesn’t just see you, he saves you, he doesn’t just hear you, he answers you. You are in favor again. You’ve been reconciled. Welcome home.

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS:
Before you pray today, pause and say: “I’ve been reconciled to God.” Then list three areas where you need His favor—pray boldly. Remember: if you have favor, God hears you, he answers you.
